I generally change that parameter to 1% - 1.5%. 4% is simply too high and is merely the default..
That said the ONLY WAY these monitors remain accurate over the long term is with manual re-sets.
All the parameters are adjustable and it is up to you to decide what you want to deem "full". If you are at a dock with shore charger then 1% will work well. If you only ever charge via alternator then getting to 2% would take a very long time so 2% is often better for this type of charging.
Solar and wind tend to trick these into false resets so best to manually synch when "known full".. Eg: 1% acceptance at 14.4V....
These monitors use time, voltage and % current to re-set. All are adjustable. You have full control over how and when it will re-set.
