Freesail...I would not spend the $$ on the led masthead light. You don't need it in the caribe. Most folks just hang one of the Davis led all-arounds in their cockpit when at anchor as the biggest danger is in being run into by drunks in dinghys///and they don't look up!! At sea, your runing lights draw a couple of amps if conventional and I've never found that to be a significant issue.
Note...I might go for the LED for ocean passagemaking. My comments pertain to island hopping and coastal work and life at anchor in the caribe. (My observation is tha less than half the boats in any harbor have any type of anchor light down there and there is no enforcement....with a dark blue hull, I kinda liked my Davis to protect the Awlgrip!)
