this is so goofy already, but I will chime in a little.

Why a sailboat when a Hatteras is sooo much beamier? I mean you get dual gensets and probably an enclosed flybridge and so much more!

I hope you have sailed and Im being a poop. I hope this isn't some goofy troll, but it probably is. If you are real and really considering this, why not go to your local marina and be rail meat for a day? go grind a little, I am sure there are caps who need it. if not, pm me, I have a boat.

while I commend your spirit, the whole 'I'm going to do xyz in 14' does not seem to resonate 'I've got a plan. I know how a boat works. I know how to rig a boat. I know how moorage works. I will support myself doing xyz.'

if you really want it, go vol for some beer can races. or vol anyway to figure it out. otherwise go buy a hat and rent a cap and you will be just as happy on the water.
