The freedom rigs have an absolutely fanatical cult following for good reason. The are simple, powerful, and easy to maintain. They are also relatively expensive, since the mast is carbon not aluminum, and much bigger than a typical stick on a comparable boat... But then you loose all the stays, so that's a plus.

The Vision 32 was actually built by TPI which is a high quality builder, and are one of the few Hunters that haven't been plagued by quality issues. The one MAJOR area of concern is that the hull is cored. Which requires that at inspection every thru hull needs to be checked for core rot. Assuming this is done, and no rot is found, I would absolutely consider a Vision for weekend cruising... Heck I would consider them for around the world cruising except the size would be a little small for me.
