Installing a temp SWITCH

Hi All,

My Universal 5424 has a standard "temp sending sensor" installed and I was considering adding a "temp SWITCH" connected to my muliti-purpose audio warning buzzer. I added the aural warning to the oil light circuit because it's a little late when the engine seizes because you didn't see the oil light (which is on the engine panel hidden from plain sight), so I thought the same thing for engine temp.

The temp sending unit goes right into the thermostat housing area. If I were to add an elbow there to add a switch, do you think the 2 would get water temp data acurately enough?
