Re: Boat name advice

If your uncle is anything like me, his title as chief was very important to him. A title such as that is earned through years of hard work and experience, not by a piece of paper or the number of bars (stars) on one's shoulder.
Second, a boat name should be simple and easy to communicate. Easily read on the stern and easily understood on the radio, especially in an emergency.

"Any idiot can make a boat go; it takes a sailor to stop one." Spike Africa aboard the schooner Wanderer in Sausalito, Ca. 1964.
