Fasteners for bronze hardware?

When repainting my deck I removed all of my deck hardware and some of the bolts, in particular those for the mainsheet traveller track, were rusted and broke off. I obviously have to replace those that broke and am considering replacing all of them, but am not sure what sort of metal would be best to use so as to avoid both corrosion due to dissimilar metals and to be adequately strong. The bolts that I removed looked to be something like bronze or brass, but I have only found the latter in hardware stores so far and am somewhat concerned about its softness/strength, plus I'm not sure how brass works when in contact with bronze for long periods of time in a wet enviornment.

I was thinking maybe a layer of sealant would retard any corrosion process between the metals...

So any thoughts on what would be best to use? Stainless, brass? Something else?

BTW this is for a 1968 Kittiwake 23 that is being sailed on a fresh water lake.

Thanks,
