Help with tired interior

As weather cools off here, we turn to interior projects. New cushions will be ordered of blue striped material. But we are not sure how to approach interior wood. It basically looks tired, has a couple levels of color stain some light and galley expecially looking darker and there is some mild staining on bulkhead. Our goals are to create a lighter fresher look with all stain colors matching. We are also wanting to be economical in terms of time and budget. So what does the community recommend? Full strip and start over or light sand, color matched and finish? Would anyone recommend paint anywhere?
