Re: Purchase an ex charter boat
Most people here on the Long Island Sound do not polish their fuel.
Is it required for some reason in other places?
Probably because the fuel around here is of good quality. Otherwise we'd hear about polishing more.
When I used to fly airplanes a lot, I was surprised that the a fill-up at the Atlantic City airport resulted in a pint of water in the fuel tank -- enough to kill the engine right after take-off, a very bad thing. Found out later that because of their old, buried storage tank and a high water table, this was a common thing at that airport.

Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
The best minds discuss sailing (and a little bit of politics). I don't know why. It's a mystery!
