Doesn't really end with a happily ever after, as I believe she is divorced...
The book is very enlightening in that even with all the mistakes that she made, her initial lack of experience and knowledge, and her inability to keep the diesel engine working, she still made it. I think it is somewhat unfair that they disqualified her from her "solo" circumnavigation, because she had a passenger, who did little if anything to help sail the boat, for a short passage of about 80nm.
