Can someone tell me how to unstep an O''''Day 25?

On T.P.III we do something similar when we lower the mast;EXCEPT we use the main boom as a lever.I bought a pair of clamps from a
rigger who used to be a logger in the Pacific NorthWest.I attach them to my intermediate and upper stays exactly at the same height above deck as the pivot pin.connect a cable on each side with turnbuckle, aft to backstay chain plate on each side.take a line with small 2 part blocks from end of boom on each side to eye
on clamp. This keeps the boom centered.Use
MainSheet to lower mast.Of course I have to disconnect aft lower and split backstays and a few other things, but the 13''6" boom gives me a nice leverage. Our mast is 44'' on the hoist!
