Re: How to sleep

I got back home last night after arriving at Sopers Hole on Saturday. No major issues, only a partially torn bolt rope at the tack of the headsail caused by the fitting on a Profurl furler coming off and the tack of the sail flapping around for a while. It was temporarily repaired with a sew job and then leaving at least a couple of raps on the furler. Lucky that the backed out screws were still on deck. Lesson learned: have spares for the top and bottom fitting on your profurl furler and use locktite or similar on those screws to prevent them from backing out.
Two boats abandoned due to hull damaage/broken gear, one of those sank.
Two boats dismasted
Four boats with rudder problems that had to be towed back in.
