I bought vents and if I had done a good job and produced anything remotely close to an airtight enclosure I would have used some. Not even close. The sloppy areas around the masts and stays provide more than enough ventilation for the rising hot air. Next year I'll extend the bows a few inches outboard of and below the stanchions to create a better wind seal but also to allow air in low and add vents in the upper section if needed.
