Sunbrella manufacturer recommends Woolite only as a cleaning agent.

Personally, I think if you're essentially 'welded' to the dock anyway your sails will thank you for taking them down and storing them in a dry area.. as you're living aboard, off the boat somewhere not too far away would be best. Even the main under the cover would be better off stored properly, and if you're using any kind of tarp you'll wear the sail cover out with chafe if it's left on the boom.

Do you have a storage locker in your marina? Once everything is cleaned and stitched up that'd be the place for them for now.
