Once you dispense with the immediate consequenses of an action, that action tends to become more prevelant. Add in the acceptance of sex as a recreational activity based on self-indulgence, the erasure of stigma, and the touting of well-to-do women seeking single motherhood, and you have the results we see today. And that's without even including the welfare incentive.
Top that off with a system that's more worried about people wearing seatbelts, than taking responsibility for families they father, and it just gets worse.
