Some of the newer electronic charging systems monitor the batteries and adjust the charge they are receiving. You might look into installing a battery combiner/monitor. This will give you a similar operation in that the batteries are monitored and the charge taylored to the recharge needed for that battery. I think Westmarine sells one.
