Well, no actually the Lee Valley items are priced in $ Canadian and cost slightly less (there's an icon in the upper right corner to convert to $US). They will fit on just about any garbage can so you probably already have what you need for a container. Who needs another bucket? Sometimes less is more.

As far as effectiveness, I can't say since I haven't used either one but going by the Amazon product rating, three out of five isn't what I'd call great.
