It was like that for four days. The 14ft seas took another day to settle down while we ran for shelter between fronts. It doesn't happen often but it does happen and the only way to avoid it all together is to stay in port. The point is, if you are going offshore, there will be days when you simply can't do that sort of work, sometimes several days in a row.

I would take that into consideration when making your plans.
