Permanent gas line fittings for outboard?

I am thinking of doing something simular to our Columbia 26. Our motor is in a well, but we have a problem with the fuel tank being in the way. I want to install a perminant tank with a fuel line connected to the motor. I saw a Chrysler 22 with the fuel line run out a scupper and back to the motor. Maybe you could buy a large stainless fairel (As big a the fuel line OD) Insert the fairel through the hull into the locker where your tank is stored. If you take one end off of the line, Thread it through the fairel, and connect the end again you''ll have a clean setup without the need of buying special fuel line parts. Just a suggestion, My mind is always working on different ways to do things on my boat. Good luck. Maybe email me if you figure something out, because I will have a simular issue getting the fuel out of an inboard tank.
