I recently reinstalled a couple of seacocks and asked the local expert about polysulfide vrs 5200. He said to use 5200 as you want it to never let go.
He contends you can remove it if you have to by heating up the seacock with a heat gun ! Apparently 5200 looses strength with heat. Interesting. Haven''t tried it yet...
