while that is absolutely true it also lacks why they are so much lighter they are lighter(2 strokes) cause they have no valves, oil pumps, gears and circuitry...less electrical and ignition stuff...and less complex carbs with less emiissions, evap stuff etc...

Im a fan of 4 strokes...just finished a complete resto on an old honda...enduro

but honestly its apples and can use either how you please but they both have benefits and drawbacks depending on what glasses you use!
