Why the sarcastic response?

First, I apologize. Some post simple questions simply to generate noise. If you are simply curious, I was wrong. However, philisophically, there is a LOT of postings on this subject; I always search before I ask.

But the reason for my irritation is that this sort of question ALWAYS leads to a flurry of sailors that know NOTHING about catamarans giving silly, uninformed opinions. It's just tiresom. Some of the posts were from expereinced folks--I'm not talking about you.

The best answer, particularly if you have limited sailing experiece, is to sail many boats. Likes and dislikes are very personal. I enjoy many boats, both mono and multi.
