the wiring in my boat is behind the panels that are removable in the interior where the deck and hull come together there are wood blocks that are epoxied in to be able to screw the panels in, the wiring is brad nailed in the wood blocks. I would like to rewire my boat with better wire and more accessory ports. I am not sure how the C22 is done, I have been in a few c22's and you could always run wiring wherever you want, it doesn't have to be in the same run as the factory.
