BTW, if you're cranking the engine for more than 20 seconds or so, don't forget to shut the raw water intake for the exhaust system off—if you have a water lift muffler, so that you don't get water in the engine through the exhaust valves and hydro-lock the engine. Hydro-locking the engine will just ruin your day.
And don't forget to open the intake when you get the engine started.
