Giulietta (is that Italian for Juliet?) I have been sailing for decades and these problems were never an obstacle. If the
lights on the other boat seem to be wrong, that is not your problem. As to your own
lights, if they have not produced a collision so far, I would suggest that in itself that is a pretty good indication that your reasoning is more dangerous than leaving well enough alone.
