Interesting, but the folks who make the glainzg (like GE and ROhm & Haus) say not to do it that way. "Simple" screwing will cause stresses to concentrate around the screws and craze the plastic, in their opinion. They suggest that if this type of mounting is attemped, each screw hole should be large enough to allow to screw to pass totally through the plastic without contacting it (i.e. each hole to be 1-2 sizes larger than the screw itself) and a larger screw head and washer used, so that the plastic can slide underneath the overlapping head, free to expand and contract despite the screws.
If Steve's plastic hasn't crazed ten years from now...we'll know the maufacturers were all wrong.
