Dad,
That was too good.
It boggles the mind that individuals log on to sailnet and do not take advantage of the archives or, in this case, read the entire thread. Duh! It's as if the answer from two years ago is no longer applicable. "Well, my sails are new so maybe i have to set them differently than they did two years ago". Most of the "lurkers" are reading old threads and actually learning something. Newbies are the lifeblood of sailnet or any other site. But, to come on site, state your 'strong' opinion, not having read the entire god-forsaken, unending thread, and you're a newbie to boot? It brings to mind the old saying, "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Giu's goin' nuts and I see part of the reason. Your 'girlfriend' is now talking about having her transmission in one position but her engine in "neutral". I do not think she has a direct reversing diesel.(g) I think that "a blast" was warranted. But then, you're probably gettin' "it" more than I am too.(g)
