I count my blessings every day! Here's the trick to getting them to fix things... make it more expensive for YOU to fix it than for THEM to fix it. Like the other day when we were having a problem with the outboard... I went and grabbed the hammer and said I should be able to get it working pretty quickly... she told me not to go near the outboard and then spent the next two hours trying to fix it. Today, I told her not to worry about the head - I was making a "rush" appointment with the marina yard people to fix the valve and they should be able to do it this week for only twice the price... five minutes later - we're pumping the head out and she's replacing the joker valve!
