I spent some enjoyable days on a Rhodes Ranger back in the mid-60's, cruising southern New England with a school friend and his parents. The Ranger was a forgiving, good-sailing boat, very much "old school" and definitely cozy for four, but a wonderful experience anyways.

My dad was a yacht broker then, and sold a number of Seafarers back then, including the Ranger and the Swiftsure. You're safe in a Phil Rhodes design.
