I too own a Hunter cutter with the engine kill switch on the throttle and it drives me crazy, nothing is worse than approaching your slip or dock and you pull the throttle to idle and you went to far and the engine stops. When I got around to it, I was going to change it to a kill switch. But after your experience I think I better do it now and not later.
