Hey Chef! The cove you are talking about at the northern end of Gibson Island is known as Eagle's Cove, at least to my sailing club. It's a V-shaped notch at the top of the island and is much preferable to anchoring behind Dobbins Island IMHO. If that cove is crowded, keep going around to the east and there's another place to anchor as well. My sailing club has a rendezvous shceduled for Eagle's Cove the weekend of July 21.

GlenK -- As Chef said, Dobbins can be busy and rolling. It's also a powerboat magnet. But a Monday night should be OK traffic wise. There also are a couple of creeks off the Magothy that are good anchorages and might be better than Dobbins.
