That was my biggest concern with my parrot on my boat. I have a 8 year old White-Capped Pionus Parrot named Nemo, and I've always wanted to have him out on the boat but was very concerned about the temperature extremes and how fast it changes. In the morning it can be around 60 and by the afternoon approaching 90 degrees here on some days, and I'm concerned about what that temperature swing would do to him. Has anyone had problems with a bird getting ill from temperature changes? What about insect-borne disease? Anyone out there have any problems with birds getting sick from some sort of insect? I know this is a strange post, but I've been looking all over the place for information on Parrots on boats!!! I'm glad I'm not the only "birdman" sailor out there!!
