I thought I would post what someone said to me, anonymously in response to me saying "save a life instead of taking one". I won't get into the finite details of my belief system here. My comment was not directed negatively at the military, more in high regard of the coast guard. I appreciate military service and am thankful for it. The comment was geared more towards the tragedies of war and that there are options, all of which I have no desire to get into online. War sucks, for whatever reason it is happening. But I understand that sometimes it is unavoidable. It was a bottom
line type of comment, and if you feel that you need to take a life in order to save one, thats one man's opinion. I won't give you a bad rep for having your own view. And just FYI, I wanted to be a military pilot straight out of HS, but my eyesight said "NO" and I didn't have the guts to hump it on foot back then.
