After scores of oil changes with a Par pump dealing with hot oil, I switched to a pump like this:
It's very easy to use, comes with multiple hoses diameters and and you don't have to pump the oil into a container, because it has its own reservoir. Essentially you remove the air from the reservoir by pumping the handle. It is not at all awkward to use, rather the reverse. After you feel resistance to the pumping, you press a little button and the vacuum draws the hot oil into the reservoir. You can then let the hoses drain, the oil cool down a bit and transfer it to another container for recycling, in my case I use the gallon container from the new oil. I coil the hose to fit inside one another for storage. No drips!
The only downside is that it is a bit large because of the built in reservoir.
I like it and highly recommend it.
