Oh wire, where art thou?
While I don''t KNOW for certain, many boats of this era ran thier wiring through the headliner and up through the deck straight into the base of the mast. The wires were butt connected during commissioning and were cut when the mast was pulled. The only way to access wires on that set up is to remove the mast.
