Changing Style of Chainplates
I have an Island Packet. I snapped off the Port Side Upper Chainplate at the deck, 21 years old. The 3 chainplates are welded together and glassed to the inner hull. It is going to be pricey to have them ground out and re installed the same way. I want to do both starboard and port. Has anyone changed that style of Chainplate to the regular bolt-on to the outside Hull style that can be inspected and reinstalled easily?
