That shouldn't be too drastic a modification to make. However, it will require changing the angle of the shroud tangs as well as getting longer shrouds, since the outboard position of the new chainplates will be further away than the current ones are.

BTW, replacing the chainplates is probably a very good idea, since it is very likely that all of the chainplates are suffering from the same crevice corrosion that probably caused the failure of the first one.
