I recently poasted a thread in the S2 forum about this. I got a couple of replies. I have an S2 8.0B, a 26 foot sloop with high aspect main. I want to know how fast your boat goes. I got mine to 7.2 knots average speed with main and 100% jib, I had following seas ans the wind was almost a steady 20 to 25 knots.
The square formula for the hull is only at 5.2 knots but I regulary sail over that, is that normal with other boats? I'm curious to hear what others say. I would also like to know the PHRF ratings of other sailboats as well.
