Yup, I know. (Another thing I have to address. She's got a Danforth on board, and I think it's properly-sized, but, from casual observation, I'm guessing there's just enough chain and line to make the anchor & rode meet the requirement for having a functional anchor on board--for racing purposes.) The other neat trick is the transducer's instructions say "30 feet or more" for setup. Well, I think about the only place on Lake St. Clair I'm likely to find 30' of depth is *cough* in the shipping channel. Only an idiot would anchor in a shipping channel and, while I may be a n00b, I ain't a (complete) idiot.
