solar panels are a must on a boat with electric propulsion, as is wind power. everything possible to restore charge must be used including a back up genny. there is no diesel electric option such as forklifts and some others use... this should be developed as a diesel electric option would recharge batteries as you run, instead of having to have separate solar and wind charging constantly.
