1977 ODAY Repowering options Questions

Hello, Fellow sea lovers. I have recently purchased a 27 Oday 1977. it is in pretty good shape for a boat of its age and as all boats needs work. its pretty much bare as far as electronics and the inboard was removed at some point, which is why i was able to buy it for cheap. it sails great and i take it out often loads of fun.. my question is what small diesel engine should i be looking for to repower this boat? and how much horse power would be best.
I think the orignal motor these had were the Vire 7 engine. also where would be a good place to look for engines? the good news is the fuel thank is there all cables, wiring, thru hull shaft, prop and something which looks to me as an muffler of some short is all there. (looks like a black can) so any help with this would be great. also another question related to rigging. the standing rigging going to the mast it feels a bit lose is there a specification as to how much play they should have?
ok thanks in advance for the help.

Fair wind and following seas.
