We'll have to address this issue, the Admiral and I, when we start crusing. So I'm watching with interest.

A month or two ago, the Admiral spotted a Cuisinart 12VDC drip maker somewhere. I wonder if that's any good? I suspect any 12VDC drip brewer that would actually do even a passable, much less decent, much less good job of producing drip coffee would draw quite a bit of battery.

Bardo,

While you and others may find Toddy system coffee acceptable, even good, I don't see how it could possibly mimic freshly-roasted, and even more freshly-ground coffee brewed at the proper temperature for the proper amount of time. Coffee aficionados, like myself, go to a great deal of trouble getting everything Just So, to make that happen.

I've even had a certified espresso snob complement me on my drip coffee

That being said: Far be it from me to dismiss something out-of-hand. I'll have to give the Toddy system a try.

Jim
