lol, quite true SD, but lake mead has as much shoreline as calif. to sail from lake mead marina to temple bar as a 35 mile leg, not bad for a lake. plus this lake made me a good sailor, the wind changes direction more in a day than i change underwear in a month

. the winds can come up on you at 65mph gusts, and i've been knocked down a few times. and old salt told me long ago "if you can learn to sail this lake, you can sail any ocean". since then i've singlehanded the entire calif coast to baja. and miami to Bahamas. it really is a great sailing lake, very unforgivable, changing conditions. plus it is one BIG @$$ LAKE
