I have lived aboard my Tanzer 7.5 (24''7") over the summer for a couple of years on the Hudson River. All berths (V + P&S) are comfortable for me though the headroom is a bit short (5''8.5") in most of the cabin. There is a Porti-Potti and a galley w/2-burner non-pressurized alcohol
stove, sink, and icebox.
I have shore power and solar (for when I''m on the hook) and have a CD-Player, Color-TV/VCR(over foot of V-Berth), Laptop, etc.. I have a shore-power electric heater and a WindScoop and awning for environmental comfort.
I really enjoy the cruising/liveaboard life and since I''m retiring this year will be taking my boat south where I can keep it in (and liveaboard/cruise) year-round. It has plenty of storage(I have an outboard so no engine taking up space) and I have a
dinghy w/outboard for gunkholing and when I''m on the hook.
All in all, all I need is a compatible companion (any female sailors interested?) and my life aboard would be complete - so I say GO FOR IT!
