You might give Terry Clarke a call at 727 894-4221, describe your circumstances and ask if he thinks he can bail you out. I''ve used Terry for engine work, altho'' he also does electrical upgrades - and I''ve found him pretty direct about what tasks he''s capable of handling and which he''s not.

Given today''s gear, even DC systems on boats can get super complicated super fast. I''ve upgraded/installed a much more complex DC system (with some AC upgrades, as well) than my Pearson came with, but I''ve found Nigel Calder''s _Boatowner''s Mechancial & Electrical Manual_ to be sufficiently thorough and comprehensive to get me through all of the work successfully. If you don''t have this book (the best single reference I know of for boat owners), you might look at the 2nd edition and see if it would help. It won''t cost more than 1 hour of someone''s labor.

Finally, you might stop by some of the specialty houses in St. Pete (e.g. GTS at 235 15th Ave. SE) that sells electrical systems and ask them who they would recommend. I''ll bet they get an earful from boat owners AND mechanics, the latter often going around correcting one another''s mistakes.
