i am getting a wooden sailfish and am just looking for some advice on maintaining it and techniques for sailing... the boat is only about 6 years old
Oh, so this is a kit or a homebuilt copy of the Alcort classic wood models from the 1940s thru 1960s. Should still sail similarly. Check out the owner's support group, Yahoo.com, Sunfish Sailor. They have members with fiberglass and wood models from every year.
when I raced sunfish as a kid I had a book called Sail it Flat
There's a book you can get through Amazon called The Sunfish Bible that has that book as one of its chapters.
