Aussie & Kiwi yachts

Besides the ''Sydney'' series, I am not all that familiar with Australian boat builders. The Sydneys are reasonably high quality racersa and racer-cruisers with most of the emphasis being as a racer.

I am more familiar with New Zealand builders of quality performance yachts. I am reasonably familiar with NZ boats from Cookson, Compass Yachts, Sea Nymph, Chris White, and Ross. All seem to offer a lot of preformance and and high quality construction with varying degress of accomodations at a very reasonable price (at least as seen from the States).

Pugh, Farr, Davidson ,S&S(Sparkman & Stephens), Murray, Gurney are all well known, and highly respected designers that have had boats built down under. I am not a fan of Bruce Roberts work but have seen a number of nicely built NZ and AUS versions of these normally home built boats.

That''s about all that I can think of on the subject.
