As for the Westerbeke, I don''t know if the 21 is still in production or not. But Westerbeke is still in business and markets good engines. The one knock you''ll hear is that Westerbeke buys engines from someone else (usually Mitsubishi or Kubota from what I hear), marinizes them,
paints them red, and sells them as Westerbeke''s. That doesn''t bother me at all but seems to bother others. I''ll let you make up your own mind. I own a Pearson 27 with a mighty Westerbeke 12 hp that has been a super engine since new in 1989. No complaints at all.
