This has always been my thinking, but I doubt myself sometimes. So, to be clear using a deep cycle battery for starting is NOT going to damage it, or shorten it's life?

I just replaced my G-29 starting battery with a deep cycle that is rated for higher CCAs and MCAs. Go figure....

I have a sauna on my boat, therefore I win.
