I just found this site. I hope someone can answer for me.

If I establish my overlap from clear astern to L and further than 2 boatlengths away from W, can I sail above my proper course?

One of our members understands the rule to say I cannot sail above my proper course once inside 2 boatlengths. I say I can if I establish my overlap far enough out.
